Far and Near

Far and Near

Christ is far above all things, for all things were created by Him and through Him. God in every extent, far and wide gives breath and life to all that has existed and all that is yet to to come into being.  All that exists, far beyond our knowledge and understanding is known to the living God. All life in every form and scope upon the earth, proclaims God’s glory and His glory extends far beyond the vastness of the heavens and revealing His design in stunning wonders of the earth. God’s mighty power far exceeds in every manner and in all ways, every nation or every ruler, from the ancient nations to the current powers. God is far beyond all words and He is transcendent, far beyond all of our capacities to comprehend, much less to possibly express in words or language.

Yet, here is the incredibly remarkable and foundational truth about God, Christ and the Holy Spirit …Although God is far beyond, He is near. He knows the exact number of the hairs on our head. He sent Christ as His Son, to bring near His favor, salvation and provision, as our Savior and Shepherd. The Good, Good Shepherd who is far greater in every way in the vastness of His love, still sees our every need and comes near in every situation, circumstance and place to strengthen and comfort us. Even beyond God’s love and amazing grace which He freely gives, is His desire to be immanently near us by sending His Holy Spirit to abide within us as His abiding presence. In any moment, we can call, and He will come. We can live our whole lives, and not offer God enough praise for how far beyond, is all He gives to us and how near He can be to us. A million hallelujahs can never be in any way, express adequate thankfulness but we can in each day of our life, offer  our thanksgiving and highest praise to our God, who is both far beyond and ever near.

Devotion thoughts, from Psalm 113.

Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore! Psalm 113:4
